Side Door Jobs is currently offered as a BETA (pre-release) service. The Service may contain bugs, errors, or unexpected behavior; features may be added, changed, or removed without notice; and the Service may be temporarily unavailable, slow, or partially functional from time to time. We do not provide any uptime, performance, or stability guarantees during the beta period. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept its beta nature and use it at your own risk. See Section 4A (Beta Service Status) for full details.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Side Door Jobs (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Side Door Jobs ("we," "our," or "us").
2. Eligibility
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
Geographic Availability: The Service is currently available only to residents of the United States and Canada.
3. Account Creation
3.1 Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account with others or allow others to access your account.
4. Description of Service
Side Door Jobs provides:
- Job Board: A curated job board featuring opportunities from supported ATS vendors (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, BambooHR)
- Browser Extension: A Chrome extension for autofilling job applications using your stored profile data
- Bulk Apply Workflow: Tools for efficiently reviewing and applying to multiple job opportunities
- Profile Management: Tools for storing and managing your professional information, resume, and work experience
4.1 No Guarantee of Employment Success
IMPORTANT: Side Door Jobs is a job application tool only. We DO NOT and CANNOT guarantee:
- That you will receive job interviews, callbacks, or offers
- That employers will respond to your applications
- That you will be hired for any position
- Any specific outcome from using the Service
Your employment success depends entirely on factors beyond our control, including but not limited to: your qualifications, experience, market conditions, employer hiring decisions, competition from other candidates, and economic factors. The Service is merely a tool to help you apply to jobs more efficiently—it does not improve your qualifications or guarantee any employment outcome.
4.2 No Official ATS Vendor Affiliation
Important Notice: Side Door Jobs is NOT officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected via API to any ATS vendors (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, BambooHR, or any other applicant tracking system). We source job listings through web scraping and publicly available data. Our browser extension uses web automation and DOM manipulation techniques—NOT official APIs or partnerships.
Because we do not have official API access, we cannot predict or control:
- When ATS vendors change their application form structures
- Whether autofill will work on all application forms
- The accuracy of job listings or application requirements
- Whether your application will be successfully submitted
ATS vendors may change their systems at any time without notice, which may break or limit our Service's functionality. We make no guarantees about ongoing compatibility.
4A. Beta Service Status
The Service is currently provided in BETA (pre-release) form. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Pre-Release Software: The Service is under active development and is not a final, fully tested, production-grade product. You may encounter bugs, errors, broken features, incomplete functionality, or unexpected behavior at any time.
- No Stability Guarantees: We make no representation or warranty that the Service will function correctly, continuously, reliably, or without interruption. Features may fail, become temporarily or permanently unavailable, or stop working without notice.
- No Uptime / SLA: We do not offer any uptime guarantee, service level agreement (SLA), or performance commitment. The Service may experience downtime, slowness, errors, or maintenance windows at any time, scheduled or unscheduled.
- Features Subject to Change: We may add, modify, remove, restrict, or replace features at any time during the beta, including features you may have used or relied on. We may also change pricing, plans, limits, or access duration without prior notice.
- Data Considerations: While we take reasonable precautions, beta software carries elevated risk of data loss, data corruption, or unintended data behavior. You should not rely on the Service as the sole repository for any important information.
- Feedback and Telemetry: We may collect additional usage information, error logs, and diagnostic data during the beta to identify and fix issues. We may also reach out for feedback. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Use At Your Own Risk: Your use of the Service during the beta period is entirely at your own risk. You should not rely on the Service for any time-sensitive job application or any other use where failure of the Service could cause you harm.
- Beta Issues and Refunds: Bugs, downtime, broken features, or other beta-related issues do not create any refund rights beyond our 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Section 5.3). By purchasing access, you acknowledge that you are paying for use of a beta service and accept its limitations.
We may transition the Service out of beta at any time, with or without notice, and may modify these Terms accordingly.
4B. Third-Party ATS Dependency
The Service depends entirely on third-party Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that we do not control and have no formal relationship with.
The browser extension's autofill capability, the job board's listings, and the bulk apply workflow are all built on top of public-facing pages and forms operated by third-party ATS vendors — currently Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and BambooHR (and any others we may support in the future). We have no API agreement, partnership, data feed, integration contract, or any other formal relationship with these ATS vendors or with the employers who use them. Standardized, sanctioned integrations of the kind we would need to build a fully reliable service do not exist for the use cases we support, and are not available to us.
As a direct consequence:
- ATS vendors can change anything, at any time, without warning. Form structures, field names, page layouts, HTML, application URLs, anti-automation defenses, rate limits, authentication flows, and entire products can change overnight. Any such change can immediately break or degrade the Service, in whole or in part.
- We cannot detect every change in advance. Because we have no notification channel from ATS vendors, we typically learn that something has broken only after it breaks. There may be a delay — sometimes hours, sometimes days, sometimes longer — before we can diagnose, fix, and ship a repair.
- Some breakage may be unfixable. If an ATS vendor implements changes specifically intended to block automation, removes pages we relied on, or alters their product in a way that fundamentally conflicts with our approach, the affected feature may be temporarily or permanently unavailable. Some ATS vendors may also remove support for individual employers or job categories that we previously supported.
- Per-employer customizations break things too. Employers using the same ATS often customize their application forms in ways the standard ATS does not anticipate. Our extension may work on most postings from a vendor and fail on others, even from the same employer.
- Job listings depend on scraping. The job board is populated by scraping public ATS career pages on a schedule. ATS changes can cause our pipeline to miss jobs, capture stale jobs, mis-categorize jobs, or pause sourcing entirely until we adapt. Listings may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong.
- Browser changes can also break things. Updates to Chrome, Chromium, the Web Extensions API, or Chrome Web Store policies can affect the extension independent of any ATS change.
We make no representation or warranty that:
- The extension will work on any specific ATS site, employer, or job posting at any specific time
- Existing supported ATS vendors will remain supported in the future
- Future versions of supported ATS platforms will continue to function with our Service
- Job listings will remain comprehensive, accurate, or current
- Repairs will be made within any specific timeframe, or at all
This third-party dependency is a core architectural characteristic of the Service, not a bug we plan to fix. It applies during the beta period and after. Combined with the beta status described in Section 4A, you should expect periods of reduced functionality, broken features, and unsupported ATS configurations as a normal part of using this Service. You agree to use the Service with this risk in mind, and you waive any claim against us for any consequence — including failed applications, missed opportunities, or wasted time — arising from third-party ATS or browser changes that affect the Service.

5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Access Pricing
Side Door Jobs currently offers a one-time payment model:
- SaaS Access: $49.99 one-time payment for 1 year of access to the full platform
- Includes: Job board access, browser extension, bulk apply workflow, AI-assisted autofill, and profile management
Note: We reserve the right to change our pricing model, introduce new tiers, or modify features at any time with 30 days notice to existing paid users.
5.2 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Prices are in USD and subject to applicable taxes
- Payment is required before claiming access to the platform
- You must complete the "Claim Access" flow (set password, accept legal terms) to activate your account
5.3 Refund Policy — 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a conditional 7-day money-back guarantee on the one-time 1-Year Access purchase ($49.99).
You are eligible for a full refund of the 1-Year Access purchase price only if both of the following are true at the time you request the refund:
- You request the refund within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date; and
- You have used fewer than 25 AI Assists.
To request a refund, email support@sidedoorjobs.com from the email associated with your purchase. Eligible refunds are issued to the original payment method within a reasonable period.
All sales are otherwise final. Specifically:
- Once 7 days have passed since purchase, or once you have used 25 or more AI Assists, the 1-Year Access purchase is final and non-refundable.
- AI Assist refill packs ($9.99) are consumable and non-refundable, and are not covered by this guarantee.
- Outside the conditions above, we do not provide refunds for change of mind, failure to use the Service, dissatisfaction with results or job search outcomes, technical or browser compatibility issues, ATS vendor changes that affect functionality, or inability to secure employment.
- By purchasing, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this refund policy.
5.4 Access Duration and Expiration
- Your 1-year access period begins when you complete the "Claim Access" flow, not when you make payment
- After 1 year, your access will expire unless you purchase additional access
- We will notify you via email before your access expires
- Upon expiration, you will lose access to paid features but your profile data will be retained for 90 days
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You will NOT:
6.1 Prohibited Activities
- Use the Service to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent job applications
- Share your account with others
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Remove or modify any copyright or proprietary notices
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or malicious code
- Collect or harvest personal information from other users
- Impersonate another person or entity
6.2 Job Application Ethics
- You are responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted in job applications
- Do not use the Service to spam employers with mass applications
- Do not submit applications for positions you are not qualified for or interested in
6A. User Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk
BY USING THIS SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
- You understand that Side Door Jobs is a software tool, NOT a recruiting service, employment agency, or job placement service
- You understand that we have NO control over employer hiring decisions and CANNOT influence whether you are hired
- You understand that paying for the Service does NOT guarantee any employment outcome, job interviews, or responses from employers
- You understand that the Service uses web scraping (not official APIs) and may break or malfunction at any time due to changes made by ATS vendors
- You are solely responsible for reviewing ALL autofilled information before submitting job applications
- You assume all risk of using the Service, including risk of autofill errors, failed applications, or lost job opportunities
- You will not hold Side Door Jobs liable for any employment outcomes, whether positive or negative
- You understand that your success depends on your own qualifications, effort, and factors beyond our control
7. Browser Extension
7.1 Installation and Use
- The browser extension requires installation from the Chrome Web Store
- The extension requires certain permissions to function (see Privacy Policy)
- You agree to keep the extension updated to the latest version
- The extension only works in Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers
7.2 Technical Limitations and Disclaimers
CRITICAL: The browser extension uses web automation techniques and is NOT connected to official ATS vendor APIs. This means:
- Limited Compatibility: The extension only works on supported ATS sites (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, BambooHR) and may not work on all job postings from these vendors
- Unpredictable Changes: ATS vendors can change their application form structures at any time without notice, which may break autofill functionality
- No Guarantee of Accuracy: We do not guarantee 100% autofill accuracy. Fields may be filled incorrectly, missed entirely, or filled with outdated information
- Form Variations: Different companies using the same ATS may have customized forms that our extension cannot handle
- Browser Compatibility: Updates to Chrome or other browsers may break extension functionality
7.3 Your Responsibilities When Using the Extension
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Reviewing ALL autofilled information before submitting any job application
- Correcting any errors or inaccuracies in autofilled fields
- Verifying that all required fields have been filled correctly
- Ensuring all information submitted is truthful and accurate
- Checking for missed fields that the extension may not have detected
Do not blindly trust the autofill. Always review your application thoroughly before clicking Submit.
7.4 No Liability for Autofill Errors
We are NOT responsible for any consequences arising from autofill errors, including but not limited to: incorrect information submitted to employers, missed application fields, formatting issues, failed submissions, or lost job opportunities. You use the extension at your own risk.
8. Job Board Content
8.1 How We Source Job Listings
Important: Job listings on Side Door Jobs are sourced through web scraping and automated collection from public ATS vendor career pages. We do NOT have official API partnerships, data feeds, or agreements with ATS vendors or employers.
8.2 No Guarantee of Job Listing Accuracy
Because we scrape job data from third-party sites, we CANNOT guarantee:
- Accuracy: Job titles, descriptions, locations, or requirements may be outdated or incorrect
- Availability: Jobs may have been filled, closed, or removed since we last scraped them
- Legitimacy: We do not verify that job postings are legitimate or that companies are real
- Completeness: Job details may be incomplete or missing fields
- Currency: Listings may be days or weeks old by the time you see them
8.3 Third-Party Content Disclaimer
- We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the content of any job posting
- We are not responsible for discriminatory, illegal, fraudulent, or misleading job postings
- Employers may change or remove job postings at any time
- We do not guarantee that clicking "Apply" will successfully submit your application
- Some job links may be broken or redirect to unexpected pages
8.4 No Employment Relationship
Side Door Jobs is NOT:
- A recruiting agency or staffing firm
- An employer or hiring manager
- A career counselor or job coach
- A guarantor of employment outcomes
- A party to any employment relationship between you and employers
We are simply a software tool. All hiring decisions are made exclusively by employers. We have no influence over whether you are contacted, interviewed, or hired.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Rights
The Service, including its design, code, content, and trademarks, is owned by Side Door Jobs and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9.2 Your Rights
You retain ownership of all content you submit (resume, profile information, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service
- Use aggregated, anonymized data to improve the Service
- Use your feedback and suggestions without compensation or attribution
9.3 Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use that feedback without any obligation to compensate you.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- NO EMPLOYMENT GUARANTEE: We do not guarantee, promise, or warrant that you will receive job interviews, callbacks, offers, or employment of any kind. Your job search success depends entirely on factors outside our control.
- NO ACCURACY GUARANTEE: We do not guarantee the accuracy of autofilled information, job listings, or any data in the Service.
- NO COMPATIBILITY GUARANTEE: We do not guarantee the browser extension will work on all ATS sites, job applications, or future versions of ATS platforms.
- NO AVAILABILITY GUARANTEE: We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation of the Service.
- NO FITNESS GUARANTEE: We do not guarantee the Service will meet your specific needs or job search goals.
- NO SECURITY GUARANTEE: We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data, account, or information.
- NO RESULT GUARANTEE: We make no promises about the number of applications you can submit, responses you will receive, or outcomes you will achieve.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR JOB SEARCH OUTCOMES.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIDE DOOR JOBS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:
- Lost job opportunities
- Damage to reputation
- Data loss or breaches
- Errors in autofilled applications
- Inability to access the Service
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Side Door Jobs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you submit through the Service
- Job applications submitted using the Service
13. Termination
13.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@sidedoorjobs.com or through your account settings.
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse of the Service
- Non-payment of fees
- Any other reason at our sole discretion
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be revoked
- Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
- You will not be entitled to any refunds, except as expressly provided under our 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Section 5.3)
- Sections that should survive termination (indemnification, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) will remain in effect
14. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time
- Change pricing with 30 days notice
- Change these Terms at any time
We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@sidedoorjobs.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
15.3 Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, you agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration in [YOUR COUNTY/STATE], rather than in court, except for:
- Small claims court actions
- Injunctive or equitable relief
- Intellectual property disputes
The arbitration will be conducted by a neutral arbitrator in accordance with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules.
15.4 Class Action Waiver
You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, and not as part of any class action or representative proceeding.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Side Door Jobs.
16.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.
16.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
16.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, war, internet outages, etc.).
